WAR GAMES

The WAR GAMES and FRIENDLY FIRES projects are both attempts to approach the limits of the object. Rather than an approach based on the form, or the application, the projects focus on the referential content of the object.
The WAR GAMES project consists of six A1 posters and a ping pong table. The posters present a series of six ping pong tables based on conflicts between two country separated by a physical barrier. Thus the barrier represents the net dividing the two sides of the table. The real ping pong table presents a different and more contemporary type of conflict. Here the barrier is not physical but nevertheless strongly palpable.

Les projets WAR GAMES et FRIENDLY FIRES sont des tentatives d’approcher les limites de l’objet. Plutôt qu’une approche basée sur la forme ou l’usage, les projets se concentrent sur le contenu réferentiel de l’objet.
Le projet WAR GAMES (JEUX DE GUERRE) est constitué de six posters A1 et d’une table de ping pong. Les posters présentent une série de six tables de ping pong basées sur des conflits entre deux états séparés par une barrière physique. Ainsi le mur représente le filet séparant les deux côtés de la table. La table de ping pong réalisée présente un type de conflit différent et plus contemporain.
